ChronoBlade - Free to Play Brawler with ARPG Twist (Gameplay and First Impressions Review)

ChronoBlade is a Free to Play Brawler that shares the basics of Final Fight and Streets of Rage, but included the over the top moves and combos of God of War or Devil May Cry. It closely resembles Korean Action MMO RPGs like Dungeon Fighter Online and Rusty Hearts but makes getting into the game and fighting the primary focus and doesn't have the MMO components.
Action is fast and furious and combos are plenty. Combat feels responsive and clean for the most part, though there are a few hitches now and then due to the Beta nature of the game. There is a strong visceral satisfaction when it comes to just beating enemies into a pulp, trying to increase your combos as well as being as flashy as possible.
ChronoBlade does all of this while not only being Free to Play but also playing in a web browser as a Facebook App. While most Facebook games are simple and lack deep game design, ChronoBlade looks to change that and show everyone that games on social media don't have to be mind numbingly easy and can cater to the hardcore gamer just as much as the casual lover of the cow clicker.
ChronoBlade is being developed by indie studio nWay, who consists of an amazing cast of movers and shakers in the video game development industry. Directly from their web page: The dev team has members who have worked on several games including Lemmings, Grand Theft Auto, Diablo, Diablo II, The Sims 2, Dead Space 2, FIFA Online, and Lineage II. Combined they have been apart of many well known studios including RockStar North, Electronic Arts, Blizzard, Google, LucasArts, Maxis, NCSoft, Nintendo, ILM, Aeria, PDI/DreamWorks, Zynga, and Tencent. With all this talent it's not that hard to imagine if anyone can change the present landscape of Facebook games, these guys can.
