And yes, I'm playing this game because of the 2017 Netflix original series, Castlevania.

I switched from Alucard to Trevor Belmont in this segment because it seemed more appropriate for the spirit of Castlevania. The Main Hall has an aesthetic (and music) similar to that of the first level in Castlevania 1 on NES, so I wanted to use the Vampire Killer whip and some knives and shit.

Death is the boss of the Main Hall, and the trick to him is to know when and where to throw holy water. His second form, while visually impressive and scary, is actually rather easy with a predictable pattern.

The Inner Hall is the level after the Main Hall, and there's a lot of running water and waterfalls and stuff and it's kind of nice. But also this level is a pain in the booty. So. Many. Stairs.

The boss of the Inner Hall is your Doppelganger, who is probably really tough in an open area, but he spawns in an awkward position underneath the platform in the center of the room, so if you have the holy water, you can just drop some fire and he'll walk into it.

I'm making it sound easy, but... this game is very difficult. Even for a 30 year old me in 2017.

Notable enemies: Death (aka the Grim Reaper), Doppelganger, Fleaman, Bone Pillar, Fishman.
