So I’m a #Bengalee , and I’ve witnessed what can an #election do to a state amidst the #pandemic. Amidst the pandemic, our intelligent and beloved #leaders organised political #rallies with thousands of paid and voluntary attendees. This only led to the growth of one thing - their friend #COVID-19. Multiple people have been infected in these rallies, and multiple of them died, while our leaders kept spewing their #communal, #religious and #hate-ridden #bigotry for personal benefits. Amidst the pandemic, conducting physical rallies are nothing but “maut ka nanga naach” (naked dance of death) - forgive my unparliamentary language but it is what it is.

I read that there’s going to be a maut ka nanga naach very soon in the states of UP, UK, Punjab, Manipur, HP, Gujarat and Goa. And we are soon going to witness fresh spewing of politically-motivated bigotry across all these states, amplified by the media houses across the country. I pray that the citizen in these states and their family members remain safe and healthy. I pray the leaders be more intelligent and tone down their campaigns.
