CiB Let's Try - Bloody Wolf (Turbografx-16)
Bloody Wolf was a 1988 arcade game, ported to the Turbografx-16 in 1990. It was developed by Data East, and published by NEC Home Electronics.
What I expected: Contra or Ikari Warriors.
What I got: A split mixture of Contra, Ikari Warriors, and the Sega Master System Rambo games.
Bloody Wolf is actually a pretty cool arcade style shooter. It's not quite as fast-paced as Contra or Ikari Warriors, and it's definitely a little more tactical. The fact that you get 3 hits per life is great, and if you do indeed have unlimited continues, that is an awesome bonus for Bloody Wolf -- it's so rare to actually be able to finish arcade ports.
Even if the continues aren't unlimited, we certainly showed that you get a bunch of them, making this game that much more palatable. Although this one might not be worth the price of admission for the actual cartridge, this one may be worth it to play 'any way you can'. Thanks for watching!
