CiB Let's Try - Impossamole (Turbografx-16)
Impossamole was released in 1990 for essentially every home computer under the Sun (Amiga, Commodore, etc) - it also received a Turbografx-16 home console port. It was developed by now defunct Core Design (best known for the Tomb Raider series), and published by Gremlin Interactive, who published a ton of computer games I have never heard of.
Unsurprisingly, Impossamole is a very average to below-average platformer that looks like it jumped straight from an Amiga computer. In positives: the music is surprisingly good, it has an actual story to follow, and the game is incredibly kind with the amount of hits you can take.
In negative: it's one of those 'collect X items to progress' 2D platformers, which almost always end up being such a slog to get through. I wasn't playing well at all, but I only found 1 of the 3 required scrolls to beat the first level. Pretty rough win condition for a 2D platformer.
You can probably safely avoid this game, unless you absolutely must play every 2D platformer that uses a pun as its game title. Thanks for watching!
