Fade to Black was released on PC in 1995, then received a PS1 port on June 28, 1996. It was developed by Delphine Software International, who are probably best known for making the infamous Shaq Fu -- they also developed a bunch of Moto Racer games before going defunct in 2002. Fade to Black was published by Electronic Arts.

Before we go into Fade to Black, I will say that while Shaq Fu is definitely a bad game, it is in my opinion not nearly as bad as 'worst game of all-time' level -- although it definitely is easy to meme on.

This is actually a really cool 3rd person action/adventure game for an early PS1 game -- I can definitely understand why it's not an expensive game, but I could see myself playing through it in full current day (maybe with the help of a walkthrough), and I would have been pretty blown away in 1996. Overall, a really solid experience, especially from a developer that has a pretty checkered past. Thanks for watching!
