CiB Let's Try - One (1997) (PS1)
One -- which is a heck of a name for a game -- was released on November 30, 1997 as a PS1 exclusive -- interestingly, the North American version came out before both the European and Japanese release.
One was developed by Visual Concepts, who still exists as a company, and pretty much make all the NBA 2K and WWE 2K games nowadays, and was published by American Softworks Corporation (ASC Games) who published a lot of weird games, including Super Troll Islands for SNES.
Okay, I have to admit: this is not what I expected at all, but I'm very happy to find out that One is essentially what a 3D Contra game SHOULD have been. For the 15 minutes we played, it is pure, no-nonsense action the whole time, with essentially no story, and a lot of explosions - just like all good action games should be. I wish I could have shown more of this game, but it is very difficult, and this is the first time we ever tried it out.
That being said, for ON(c)E (heh...) I can recommend a game we've done for a CiB Let's Try - thanks for watching!
