Hello and welcome to Cinema Season 11!

• Cinema is a /r/ultrahardcore Recorded Round in which each season aims to replicate a popular piece of film

• This season was our first time doing a sequel as it's based on the dystopian science fiction film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013), a sequel to The Hunger Games (2012). The plot of Catching Fire follows Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark as they are strung into the 75th annual Hunger Games known as 'The Quarter Quell' where they compete against previous winners in a death match that would change the fate of Panem forever.

• Explanation of the gamemodes:

1. The Quarter Quell | The map is a replica of the movie's map. The center (0,0) has a Cornucopia surrounded by water and 12 paths. Each path of obsidian divides each part of the map, creating 12 zones, replicating the "Clock-Based" map from the movie. Players will start the game alone, separated from their teammates, facing the cornucopia. Another interesting aspect taken from the movies is that the border for this season is a "Dome" (1250x1250).

2. District Alliances | Each team is allowed to team with only one other district at a time. The winners may only be the original To2. PVP will also turn on 3 minutes into the game.

3. Supply Drops + Cornucopia Refill | The Cornucopia will be refilled twice throughout the game, first at the start of Episode 3, and the second time will be at the start of Episode 5. There will be 4 supply drops dropping at the end of each episode, these will contain necessary things for a person to heal (e.g: Gold, Apples, Golden Apples, Raw Heads, Healing Potions, Absorption Potions)

4. Clock Effects | There will be Negative Effects happening every 5 minutes to the different zones of the map. If a player is standing in the affected part of the map, they'll get the effects from it. (SEE THE REDDIT POST FOR LIST OF ALL THE EFFECTS)

5. Death Cannons | Once a person dies a death lightning will strike, but there will be no death message. But at the end of each episode, there will be a message in chat broadcasting all deaths from the previous episode.
