Replace breakers?
We are dealing with a heat wave here in Arizona what with temperatures hovering near 120° F. This means that our AC (power hungry) is running full out almost 100% of the time and our loaner room AC is as well. This puts quite a strain on our electrical system. The breaker was Hot to the touch.
Over the last few months, we’ve noticed that our mains have flipped several times when turning on the pedestal power and that there was a buzzing sound coming from the panel. Shelly has even been able to detect a little ozone odor at times.
I opened the panes in the RV to find that 2 of the breakers were really HOT… We checked the pedestal and found that one of the 120v legs was carbon fouled. Cleaned it off and then headed to pick up 2 replacement breakers.
