The operating and configuration modes of a Cisco Router are basically divided into 3:
1. User Execute Mode
2. Privileged Execute Mode
3. Global Configuration Mode
In User mode, you can only view and review some settings on the Router.
In privileged mode, you can view the settings of the configurations made on the router in detail. For example, you can check the IP addresses you assign to the Router's FastEthernet, GigabitEthernet, or Serial interfaces. Or, you can check running-config / startup-config files and save or delete all the settings you have made on the Router in this #mode.
In general configuration mode, you can configure an interface on the #Cisco #Router, enable a routing protocol, set up telnet/ssh, or create a VPN.
In short, you can configure all settings on the Cisco Router in this most frequently used mode.
