Changing the names of Cisco Routers or Switches prevents complexity in future network changes.
The default #name of a #Router you use in #GNS3 is R1. And +1 number is added next to the name of each newly added device.
You may want to consider renaming your devices for a more organized and specific network design.
To change the Cisco Router's Hostname:
Step 1: In CLI, switch to privileged mode with the command "conf t".
Step 2: Type hostname to define a new name in R1 (config) #.
Step 3: Next to Hostname, type the name you want to change and press Enter.
R1(config)# hostname ARouter
You can change or rename your Router by following these steps.
