Welcome to this Hints and Tips series on the Cities Skylines Map Editor. This series will show the process of creating a custom map that will be used for my next city building series. Each part will present a step in the creation process whiles giving hints and tips on how to use the map editor.
Feel free to make suggestions, add useful hints and tips, ask questions, etc. If there is something you want me to explain or investigate feel free to ask.


This part focuses on the process of obtaining and manipulation terrain maps so they can be used as the foundation of a custom map.


Due to time required to record and edit this series it will be an irregular weekly series. However, there is a full release schedule in the About section of the channel.
