Old World is a 4x turn-based strategy game from Mohawk Games (including Soren Johnson - lead designer of Civilization 4, supported by a small team of highly respected strategy game devs). Old World has a Steam release date of May 19 2022, roughly one year after releasing on Epic Games as a platform exclusive. Old World merges the political intrigue, mortality and character development of Crusader Kings 3 (to a scaled down but not to be underestimated level) with the classic settle-scout-farm-build-fight-tech-and take civilization 5 and civ 6 format. This is supported by a few unique Old World gameplay mechanics like orders - a sort of currency limiting unit movements, promotions and political orders and city developments and forcing you to carefully balance (or push to the limits) certain interests within your Empire. Today - Old World Gameplay on my channel is in the Heroes of Aegean Old World update! Thanks to Hooded Horse for giving me early access to a press build (the full build I believe). Heroes of the Aegean is free for the first two weeks, and includes 6 story missions and a new playable faction/ civ - the Hittites! (Hatti).
