In this first multiplayer match Troublmaker starts out as the Polystralians. Polystralia is a bread basket conglomerate of Australia, New Zealand, some of the Polynesian islands, and Indonesia. Their opening bonus is two free trade routes. The computers are setup to be in teams of two, except for two computers who are on teams by themselves.

Civilization Beyond Earth is a part of the Civilization franchise. The game is a turn based 4X. That means you have to eXpand, eXplore, eXploit, and eXterminate. Settlers from various alliances across the world have flown into space for a chance at a better life. However quickly the politics of Earth get involved and as everyone is settling the same alien world they are competing with each other... while still trying to survive the alien presence.
