Welcome to Let's Play Civilization VI as Norway on Deity.

Today were playing as Norway in a epic speed game on a Islands Plates map. My previous series for Russia is on hiatus due to the summer patch breaking the CQUI mod.

So in the meantime I'm going to start a new series and play (at the request of a viewer) as Norway.

Norway actually had a small but important change this patch which makes the Stave Church, a rather weak religious building, considerably more useful. This building now Provides + 1 production to costal resources. Which on the Islands map that Norway strongly favours can be a huge bonus to normal production poor costal cities.

Also contrary to some of the discussion I've been hearing the holy site does not need to bee adjacent to costal resources. Just build it anywhere in your city, build the Stave church and your costal resources will gain +1 production regardless of improvement.

In this game were going with the god of the sea pantheon which will give us an additional +1 production from improved costal resources. I'm going to do my best to pair those with stacking Production bonuses from harbours and shipyards.

(Explaining shipyards and how they work with harbour adjacency bonuses)

In my game playing as England I discovered that shipyards are amazing as they convert the gold adjacency bonus of harbours into production. You automatically get +2 gold for having the harbour next to your city center and if its next to costal resource that's +1 gold (for a total of 3). Now if you get the Navel infrastructure economic card you double those gold adjacency bonuses to 6, if you have a shipyard that means 6 production as well as the gold.

Anyways guys the series is off to a good start I hope you enjoy it.

Norway's Unique abilities, Unit and Structure.

Russia's Unique Ability:
Knarr - Units gain the ability to enter the Ocean (deep water) tiles after researching the shipbuilding technology. Units ignore embarking/disembarking movement penalties.

Harold's Unique ability:
Thunderbolt of the North - Allows Rading ablity for all navel melee units and + 50% production to all naval melee units.

Harold's Unique unit:
Viking long ship - Replaces the Galley unit, + 5 combat strength over the Galley. Able to perform costal raid ability (normally reserved for privateer / submarine line of ships). +4 movement when traveling in costal waters.

Norway's Unique Unit:
Berzerker unit - Unique unit to Norway, 40 Combat streigth, 2 movement. Gains + 4 movement when starts in enemy territory, + 7 Combat strength when attaking (47 at full health), - 7 Combat strength when Defending (33 at full heath).

Norway's Unique Building:
Stave Church - In addition to the regular temple gets an additional standard adjacency bonus from woods. Also as of the summer patch provides +1 production to each costal resource in the cities radius. (Holy site does not need to be adjacent to the resource.)
