Well Death Row have finally arrived in Stockholm, absolutely crushing clan NINE in the 5th and final game for tonight. This was on 'their' map : dm3.

Start Game
In the first minute, Paralyzer got the quad and Spice got the RL, but both were taken down by superb DR play. From the outset it was obvious that there was something different about this game. Death Row were far more vocal and had a renewed energy to them. They wanted to show how Death Row usually plays... and they did so admirably. Such was their domination that Xenon was only allowed 1 beaver in the first 4 minutes.
Such was the pressure applied by DR that clan NINE were making unusual errors. For example, in the 9th minute Nikodemus slept with the catfishes. Death row were leading by 37 frags...
Mid Game
By the twelfth minute, Death Row totally dominated the game with their combination of RL / YA / RA / Quad zone play. By denying these key items to NINE, it was as enjoyable to watch as 'Chicks with Guns'. It is one thing to be able to control these areas, but it is another thing entirely to be able to hold them against constant LG / SG / SNG attacks without needing to run away for healths. Death Row controlled their zones with extreme economy. This enabled them to rack up frag after frag against an increasingly frustrated NINE.
In the thirteenth minute, Xenon was cornered by two Death Row dudes with 200-200-RL. Admirably, he had time to type 'WHEE!' before taking the last rocket to China. Thresh thanked him as he reached his 40th frag.
End Game
Not much to say, except that Death Row simply dominated. In the water, at the RA... they gave no quarter. The NINE players became increasingly frustrated and often charged in with the shotgun against a heavily armed opponent. Whilst they had successfully shotty-killed opponents in e1m2 (which has no Red Armor...), charging a fully packed out Thresh with the shotgun is generally not good for your health. The NINE clan fought bravely, but could not break DR's stranglehold on the map.
So Death Row earned a well earned ear (Diablo, anyone ?). It certainly gave them confidence to take into the 5 QW games on friday night. Here's some post-match quotes from Death Row...
"We're back !".... we hope for better luck next friday. C9 have impeccable teamplay. In the last game we didn't change our strategy, we just focused on the things we do well and a key area of the map. (Thresh:) there's a lot of luck involved, whoever locks down the map first can usually win.
And here's what clan NINE had to say...
We're happy to take four wins. In the last game DR got control and kept it. We learnt alot. They are really good. No alcohol tonight for us... we're going to wait until Friday.
