Clare 2nd Run "Kill Everything" Challenge - Resident Evil 2 (09/17/20)
2Decimal's first full attempt at Claire 2nd Run Kill Everything challenge - where every enemy has to be killed. Today's run is dedicated to the YouTuber Roowzer.
Claire 2nd Run is the hardest of all "Kill Everything Challenges" campaign. Like the 1st Run, the primary difficulty comes from building up enough ammo before G1 to get started.
CLAIRE 2nd Run NOTES
- The Licker in 1F South West Hallway has to be killed before collecting the Medallions.
- After inserting all 3 Medallions into the statue at 1F Main Hall, 3 more zombies will spawn in the 1F South West Hallway and the 1F North West Hallway. Player will have to backtrack (while Tyrant is active) and take them out, as they will despawn the moment G1 is killed.
- Claire will only be granted 2 knifes (one stuck in the wall in 1F Break Room Hallway, and one in the 2F Library) until she revisits the station.
- The 1F Break Room Hallway has to be revisited once both Boxed Electric Parts have been obtained.
KILL EVERYTHING CHALLENGE NOTES
- Zombies that burst through the windows have to be killed immediately, or else run the risk a chance of despawning.
- Many windows have zombies that require players to revisit the room multiple times at different points of the game.
- Use a knife, or a handgun bullet to the head to check bodies of zombies after they fall down in order to make sure they are dead.
- Resources are a constant issue for the first half of the game. It will be constant math work in making sure there is enough ammo to finish the challenge.
- Critical Hits with a handgun costs the lowest amount of resources to kill an enemy. Though it's a random occurance every time.
- The 1F North West Hallway has 3 passive Zombies that are outside the window. They have to be killed in the challenge. Use Shotgun if Leon. Or use 1 Flame Round, then handgun the leftovers as Claire.
- Leon is able to go on a shotgun zombie spree, as the weapon itself does poor damage to every other enemy except Zombie Dogs.
- Only make one batch of Acid Rounds for Claire with Gunpowder in order to deal with Lickers in the basement. The rest has to be spent on Handgun and Machine Gun ammo.
- Ivy Zombie can only be killed by fire. There are a total of 10 for Leon, and 13 for Claire.
--- Leon's Flamethrower costs roughly 18 Fuel to kill one Ivy Zombie if they're unconscious - which amounts to 180 Fuel points total. This weapon can hit multiple targets at once to reduce the Fuel cost.
--- Claire's Flame Round does NOT hit multiple targets at once despite it's visuals, and it will require a Flame round to directly hit the unconscious Ivy Zombie to truly kill it. 13 Flame Rounds total.
