Classic Game Room reviews SONIC UNLEASHED for PlayStation 3 PS3 (also available for Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 2 PS2) from Sega released in 2008. Sonic Unleashed combines multiple gameplay styles to create an interesting mix of things for Sonic the Hedgehog to do. He races through hyper-fast "Sonic" style races to collect rings and special coins to progress the storyline (memorization is a must!). Sonic also transforms into a Were-Hedgehog at night to fight Dr. Eggman's army of robots with claws and special moves. The game plays like Sonic meets God of War meets Teen Wolf and it's cool but fails to recapture the thrill of Sonic from the Sega Genesis era.
