This is a space ship shooter SHMUP style game which feels like River Raid mixed with Vanguard and every single Atari 2600 sound effect ever made. Worm War 1 is a game confused about who it is and that's it's thing. You shoot worms, blocks and fill up at mushroom gas stations as quickly as possible. Rack up points and play with your M8's (see, I said M8!) in cooperative multiplayer or competitive multiplayer. Not bad for an Atari 2600 game! Worm War 1 doesn't jump out in any one way but it has a special charm and is riddled with worms. Fans of games like River Raid and Fantastic Journey may want to check this one out.
