Since I haven't found online a comprehensive and exhaustive guide with all the optimal configurations to run the PC version of Resident Evil 2 / Biohazard 2 released by Sourcenext, here is mine.

Thanks to Gemini/Loboto3 (http://appleofeden.de-doc.com/), an Italian Romhacker, we can now play the PC version of this classic of video gaming without issues at all. This release of the game was pretty known for being a buggy mess but the hard work of Loboto3 pretty fixed all the issues of the original release and made it run on modern PCs.

In my opinion this is the best way to play this game on nowadays hardware.

This mod fixes all the issues of the original release, translates into English the Japanese release, and gives you some quality of life options. These includes:

- Optional texture filtering (toggable by pressing F7 during gameplay, see 8:13)
- Both the scenarios without disc swapping!
- Joypad supports (XInput, Direct Input, Raw Input)
- Partial vibration support for DualShock 4 and different led colors to indicate the status of the character
- Optional turbo mode pressing F2 and F3
- Option to skip all loading times i.e. doors opening animations

The only nitpick is the absence of English subtitles during voiced cutscenes and the presence of Japanese subtitles during movies.
