Removing teeth stains caused by tea and coffee habit with manual toothbrushes can be very difficult. However, electric toothbrushes can remove these stains by brushing at high frequencies.
These devices are also very useful for removing plaque. One of the most ambitious devices in this area is Oral-B's new electric toothbrush, the iO 2.
The iO 2 is one of Oral-B's entry-level models, making it an affordable option. While there are higher-end models in the series, the iO 2 focuses on basic functionality. It offers three different cleaning levels: Super Sensitive, Sensitive, and Daily Clean. These modes adjust the rotation and vibration intensity of the brush head, providing different levels of cleanliness for both tooth surfaces and gums. It also features a smart pressure sensor, which reduces the speed and alerts the user when too much pressure is applied to the gums.
Unlike other devices in Oral-B's higher-end iO series, the iO 2 lacks Bluetooth connectivity or a mobile app. However, it does provide vibration notifications. It gently vibrates every 30 seconds to let you know when to change zones, and then vibrates again after two minutes of brushing.
