Clock Tower! Finally Officially Translated (Original Version) - Halloween Retro 2024
3One of my favorite Super Famicom games has finally got an official translation. Clock Tower Rewind just released, so it's perfect timing for our Halloween Retro. This is a point-and-click survival horror game with amazing sprite work, puzzle solving, and multiple endings. Its story is heavily inspired by a movie called Phenomena, including the main character, Jennifer. Gameplay-wise, you explore a creepy mansion with random item placements and even room locations. Instead of healing items, your character "panics," and you must rest by staying still to recover. This is easier said than done since you're being chased by a maniac with giant scissors, lol. I love all the different endings and differences; you can even beat the game in a few minutes, but to fully uncover the story, you have to memorize the layout of everything. There is a remaster included, but I wanted to play the original version first.
