Marvel vs. Capcom! The Dream Crossover (Arcade) - Retro Adventure Ep. 285
This is the final game from the Capcom collection we didn't stream. Marvel vs. Capcom was the beginning of an amazing crossover using characters from the company's franchises. So many old-school IPs, like Strider or Mega-Man, plus with the new assist system, there's a ton of even rarer appearances. The game maintains its 2v2 format but with some new mechanics, such as the variable cross attack that allows both fighters to be controlled at the same time. The music and stages blend so well with everything else, and the final boss is really cool. Looking back on this, I actually appreciate and even prefer some stuff that MVC1 has over the more famous sequel, so it's nice to play again after all these years. This is pretty much the game that got me back to playing and learning fighting games again.
