113Ready to win a fully licensed copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim? Then hurry and join the contest to win it! Read the rules below, and decide how you would like to join.
CONTEST RULES:
1. You must be either 18 years of age or older, or a parent or guardian must be able to accept your prize if you win. You must also have access to either a GameStop store OR Valve's Steam online gaming platform.
2. There are three (3) ways to enter (choose only ONE):
1. Simply post ONE comment on this video. Congrats, you've entered the contest!
2. Write a short story set in the Elder Scrolls universe (see below)
3. Produce a video with a narrative set in the Elder Scrolls universe (see below)
3. You have until Thursday, November 10th at 3:00 PM PST (6:00 PM EST) to enter using one of the three above methods.
4. From each of these three methods of entry, one finalist will be chosen. The finalist from Method 1 will be chosen at random, and the two finalists from both Methods 2 and 3 will be selected by Judge Culveyhouse. :D
5. These three finalists will be contacted to verify legal eligibility, age, and other information.
6. One of these three finalists will be chosen totally at random, and that person will be the winner!
7. I will announce the winner on Thursday, November 10th at 6:00 PM PST (9:00 PM EST).
8. The winner will choose between a $60 GameStop digital gift card, or a fully licensed TES V: Skyrim through Steam. I will help him/her procure his/her copy of Skyrim (or the gift card) in time to purchase TES V: Skyrim before its midnight launch.
9. NOTE: Trolls who have been blocked cannot enter this contest. Multi-headed trolls cannot join either, even if one of your other heads tries to join.
10. Your cat cannot join. Thalmor agents cannot join, nor can Dwemer centurion spheres nor other mechanical things with a so-called "brain".
11. If one of the three methods receives no entries, then that method of entry will be removed from the three, and the winner will be chosen from two finalists. If no one joins using Method 2 or 3, then that sole finalist will become the winner.

Here are the specific rules of each of the three methods of entry:
Method 1, Simple Comment: Add a comment on this video page. This is the easiest way to enter, however your odds are very slim in this collection of entries. From this large group of entries, one finalist will be chosen at random. Only post once! If you accidentally post twice, simply click "Remove" on one of your comments. Note: Trolls who have been blocked cannot join this contest, through this method or any of the other methods.
Method 2, Short Story:
Write a short story, between 1300 words and 2000 words, set in the Elder Scrolls universe, in the province of Skyrim. The main character's name must be Glorn Skullcracker. You may write it in any style (tragedy, mystery, comedy). Please send it to Culveyhouse's YouTube account (http://www.youtube.com/culveyhouse). The entries will be judged on storytelling skills, creativity, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The length of the story will not be judged, as long as it is 1300 - 2000 words. I will read all entries and choose a finalist with the most well-presented short story based on those five criteria. Your entry will become public if you win the contest.
Method 3, Video Narrative:
Produce, narrate, and upload a short video between 5:55 and 11:11 long, in one of two styles: 1. A short story about the COLLEGE OF WINTERHOLD, set in the province of Skyrim, or 2. A lesson in Skyrim lore with an emphasis on the CITY OF SOLITUDE. Either style must be narrated by you in your own voice. You may add a photo slideshow if you like, or you may simply add captions. You may add subdued music, but please do not add video footage or sound effects. Upload your video to YouTube and make it public. The video must remain public throughout the duration of the contest. The entries will be judged on storytelling or documentary skills, voice acting / narration skills, grammar, and sentence structure. Entries will not be judged on media nor the length of the video, as long as its length is 5:55 - 11:11.
