CNC Router Motors Setup - 30696S
Holly shit!
What a pain in the ass it was to get to this point!
When i first got the controller and motors, i was so excited!
THEN!!!! I looked at the board.. and it WAS MISSING PARTS! AND IT WAS A FUCKING CLONE OF ANOTHER MADE IN CHINA BOARD! Not even the one advertised... FUCK! Oh wells, i just want this shit to work!
FUCK! Soldered on the missing parts ( thankfully i had some capacitors laying around )
OR did i have the motors wired incorrectly?
Then! ZOMGAWD! The documentation was wrong!
Fuck! Or was it the board?
Ok, so i got a new board free of charge because of the first one being damaged...
Configured... and... FUCK! Configuration was still WRONG! Fucking docs! OR WAIT?:! Now my parallel port on my laptop is going crazy... FUCK!
Ok, grab a pc \w parallel port i had laying around... ok...
FUCK! Windows XP Installation bluescreens! FUCK!!!
Ok add drivers to windows XP installer...
FUCK! STILL BLUE SCREENS!
FUCK!!! Must be the usb drivers...
FUCK IT!
Download LinuxCNC...
Setup... YES! The X-AXIS WORKS! ZOMGAWD!
FUCK! The Y-axis doesnt work... and the z-axis doesnt work..
FUUUUUCCKK!!
Ok ok... So... Fuck!
Open the program, and start jogging... WTF! IT WORKS?!?!?!
but its loud as fuck!
*takes motors off psu and put on table*
Ok, thats better.
Well here we are...
Probs put in 10+ hours trying to figure out this shit...
WISH THERE WAS SOME DECENT DOCUMENTATION!
Oh wellz...
I can finally get started on building the next part of the CNC...
Oh and... i'm not sure, but it sounds like 1 of the motors might be fucked! i got 4; hopefully i can keep one for a 4th axis, but... whatever.
OH! and the shit gets hot so fast, so i'll definitely be putting in some extra fans for cooling.
