This shot was made by clipping video layers to shape layers with a feathered edge and positional animation in Photoshop. Because layer masks can only use the pixel data on the canvass itself, shape layers were used to hide the feathered edge offscreen until the loop was clean. Due to conflicts with shadows, the top half of the shot is footage from another clip.
