Developed by Freemana, C.L. is a Soulslike with a lot of passion, and that can be seen in the first seconds of the game, as it was developed by a single person...
As a magic user, the Soulslike formula is turned on it's head; there is no meele combat here and the only attack I could see that doesn't deplete the magic meter isn't has useful as it should be due to it's short range, although I'm not the best person to judge that part of it.
The environments seem straight out of Elden Ring at times and that is just amazing for a single dev.
The game runs well on Steam Deck although using any other Shadow setting besides low will see the game drop to 10 fps faster than a blink of an eye.
Absolutely recommend for Soulslike lovers or if you're just looking for a an open world with a dark and foreboding atmosphere.
