Coffee Lake Has Different Pin & Power Layout From 200 Series | Ryzen 5... 8 Core ???
Intel's Coffee Lake, the 8th generation core processors from the company - which include both the I7-8700K and the I5-8600K have major shakeups with their number of cores, increasing them by 50 percent over the 7th generation's 7700k / 7600k, and it has emerged that Intel have needed to use a few of the reserved pins in the 1151 socket for power, hence the reason coffee lake isn't backwardly compatible.
AMD's Ryzen 5 1600 and Ryzen 5 1600X CPUs have also been spotted with not the usual 6 cores and 12 threads, but several years are reporting 8 cores and 16 threads, with the CPUs essentially acting as a Ryzen 7 1800X.
TSMC are going to be first company to hit 3nm, with the fab coming online in 2022.
Finally, Sony's Andrew House will be leaving the company to move onto new projects, after he has been with the Company 27 years.
