Coin fit puzzles are where you have x number of coins and have to fit them into a small area such as a circle. At first it may seem impossible, but there is a solution, and it’s usually just the one unique arrangement (accounting for reflection and rotation, although there are some exceptions), and it’s your task in such puzzles to find that solution. If you put all thought of coins aside, this can just as much be a packing problem – for example how many felt tip markers can you fit in a pen holder, looking down at them from above. This is one of two videos I have made on the same subject – the other one being for the version where all coins have to fit in a square of specific area instead of a circle. Where there are alternative solutions, I have just gone with the simplest so as to avoid overcomplicating the video.
