Colborne Lodge is located in High Park, Toronto and was the home of architect John George Howard (1803-1890) and his wife Jemima Frances Meikle (1802-1877).

Jemima succumbed to breast cancer in 1877, believed to be the first woman in Toronto diagnosed with the disease. Both Jemima and her husband John are buried in High Park.

To this day, there have been many reports of visitors seeing an older woman looking out of the upper window.. Many believe this woman to be Jemima.

Colborne Lodge is one of 10 museums owned by the City of Toronto and operated by its Museums & Heritage Services department.
