Though this issue is old news by now, I would like to discuss the allegations of copyright infringement directed toward Coldplay and their hit 2008 single 'Viva la Vida'. Viva la Vida is one of my favourite songs, and I have noticed the similarities to older songs from artists such as Cat Stevens, Joe Satriani and the band Creaky Boards, but I maintain that these songs are still very different. Therefore, Coldplay has not broken copyright.
