This video was originally made so that I may test out my drawing and coloring skills for a project! That project never came to be. The original description can be found below.

With my recent desire to pursue animation, I've been trying to make at least a little bit of progress every day. Today is Day 3, and this is what I've decided to do for the day: color a drawing. I decided to start off coloring pictures by starting with a recent Bayleef sketch that I drew. Please tell me what you guys think of the sketch, the coloring, the video... and the idea!

My first animation project is currently entitled "Project Pokemation." It is a project that I am single-handedly creating. For my first animation, I decided that I wanted to start off with something advanced, which is contradictory to perhaps every bit of advice for newcomers... ever. But, I figured that I have a little bit of basic knowledge in programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Flash, and I'm a basic cartoonist. Because I'm interested in aesthetics and detail, I decided to start off with something advanced so that I may reflect back on it for any future animations I may do; I want my first animation to set the standard for any future creations!

"Project Pokemation" is a fan-created Pokemon animation that I'm making. Simply put, it is my take on what the Pokemon universe is like. I hope to make "Project Pokemation" about 6-9 minutes long, and it will involve no talking whatsoever. Instead, I hope to express ideas through gestures, expressions, and movement. The characters will still grunt, and the Pokemon will say their names in battle, but there will be no dialogue whatsoever. I will drawing, coloring, and animating everything myself. I need to get settled in the drawing and coloring fields first before I move onto the actual animation. I know that this project will take months to complete, especially since it's my first animation. I'm just hoping that if I keep track of everything and make even the slightest bit of progress every day, I can finish what I start and create something awesome!

So... would you guys like to see more progress videos like this? Please lemme know what you think! Thank you, and enjoy! ;)
