My current record. Still working on a better run with no deaths. I'll get YouTube to display at 60fps once I do.
Some notes:
Screen 1-3: The jump here can be buffered so it's very consistent.
Screen 1-4: I think doing the shortest possible jump is the fastest way to get onto the third mushroom here. In this screen and the next, you can actually skip the last mushroom, but it's slower.
Screen 1-6: This is the first major trick in the run. It's difficult but definitely worth going for. Make sure you position yourself as far right on the platform as possible, the hitbox is deceivingly large.
Screen 1-7: There is a much harder strat for this screen where you hold right the entire time and catch the platforms on an earlier cycle. It involves jumping at the last possible moment twice, and is quite risky, so I opt not to do it, but it is definitely possible.
Screen 1-8: Learning this timing is very important to catch the earlier cycle on the top mushroom platform. I didn't get it here, but if you are a little more aggressive on the top mushroom platform, you can skip the first jump afterwards.

Screen 2-1: It's possible to fit in one more dash in this screen than I did, but it's risky and I often failed it.
Screen 2-2: You can do this screen without letting go of right if your first jump is lower.
Screen 2-3: There's no way to beat the star on the first platform, so you can take your time here.
Screen 2-4: I figured out a faster strat for this room: Dash, then jump dash over the first set of stars, then dash, then jumpdash in between, then jump dash.
Screen 2-5: Make sure to wait long enough before dashing otherwise you might overshoot the platforms.

World 3: This is where the run becomes the most dynamic as walljump-dash climbing is such a huge thing.
Screen 3-6: I messed up here. If you dash earlier and keep holding right you can clear the star correctly. You can also walljumpdashclimb here, it's not as scary as it seems.
Screen 3-7: You can fit in an extra dash at the beginning of this screen if you are confident.
Screen 3-8: It's possible to do the first section of this screen faster, but it doesn't actually matter because you can't catch the earlier cycle of the mushroom platform! You can do the last dash through the spikes on the way up instead of on the way down though.

Overall 2:30 should definitely be possible if you don't mess up like I did and do a few of these optimizations.

I'm also noticing some quality-of-life improvements that could be made to the game for speedrunning purposes, so I may try to put in an update at some point (?).
