INTRODUCTION:
Cómeme El Chip has 50 levels divided into two game modes, "Arcade" and "Crazy", 25 levels in each mode. Each game mode consists of 5 worlds. Each world has a unique visual appearance and you will control a different character adapted to the environment. According to advances, you must use different strategies to be successful on your trip.

But everything has its reward, and if you complete the game you can enjoy a beautiful final scene. It also has an alternative ending for curious ;) Do not have enough with the "Arcade" mode? Then try the "Crazy" mode. In this mode the levels are generated randomly following a pattern. A real challenge for the most seasoned players.

Other features of the game are its beautiful visual effects made entirely in Basic, a wide variety of sound effects, digitized voice fx and beeper music to 3 channels. All this in just 48kb of memory. Cómeme el chip works on spectrum models 48kb, 128, + 2, + 2A, + 3 and Pentagon.

This game is based on Chip’s Challenge, and it plays the same way, but in this game you can see the whole playfield of each level at once, and this is not a bad idea because it makes it much easier to try to figure out how to complete the levels.

You play with a Pacman like character, and you have to make your way through five worlds, each with five levels, and every time you complete a world you save a friend. To complete a level you have to go through the exit door, but you have to collect all the keys first to make the door unlock.

Stuff like holes, water and fire has to be avoided, while arrows will send you in the direction the arrow is pointing.You can collect bombs which can blow away water and arrows and in some levels there is also teleports. If there is room for it, it is possible to leave the screen at the sides for reentering at the opposite sides.

If you collect the chips you will power up a help bar, and when this bar is full you will get activated some kind of help. The best help is to get moved to the next level, Opening Roads help that will remove a lot of the obstacles from the screen, or Bomb Mania help that fills the screen with a lot of bombs.

You can play the game either in Arcade mode or in Crazy mode, and if you play in Crazy mode a lot of arrows is placed randomly on each level, so be sure to collect plenty of bombs, especially when you get Bomb Mania help, because it might not be possible to complete some of the levels without using a lot of bombs.

Cómeme el chip is a BASIC game for the ZX Spectrum 48k, but don’t let this fool you, because this game shows what can be achieved in BASIC programming! A lot of effort has been put into the design of the levels, and the game looks and plays well.

The game is made entirely in BASIC, and considering that, it has some cool effects. It also has a kick ass beeper soundtrack and features sampled speech.
