Comet C/2022 E3 ZTF through a basic DSLR | Canon EOS 1300D
Comet C/2022 e3 (ZTF) through a basic and cheap DSLR camera Canon EOS 1300D
In this video I am going to tell you how I captured Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) using a DSLR and a Telescope. I used a Canon EOS 1300D and Celestron Astromaster 114 eq Reflector Telescope to capture this comet.
Comet C/2022 E3 ZTF is a long period comet from the Oort cloud that was discovered by the Zwicky Transient Facility on 2 March 2022. The comet c/2022 e3 ztf has a bright green glow around its nucleus which is due to the effect of sunlight on its molecules, especially diatomic carbon and cyanogen. The comet is rapidly approaching perigee, its closest point to Earth, which is making it easier to spot in the night sky its closest point to earth will be on 1st Feburary 2023. To see the comet for yourself, look to the north just after sunset and look for a faint greenish glow. Under the right dark sky conditions, the comet could be visible to the unaided eye, but binoculars or telescope will certainly make the job easier.
