Comet Crash for PlayStation 3
4Hello and welcome to another PlayStation 3 exclusive sneak peek. This time I take a look at an action packed PSN title named Comet Crash.
In Comet Crash your job is to make a long path for the enemy to travel to your base. The longer it gets the more safe your base is. Make all kinds of different towers to defend your base and work hard at creating your own soldiers to go marching towards their base. The one with the biggest army and best defense wins!
The graphics are pretty simple for a PSN downloadable with slightly different environments, and different tactics for each stage. There are plenty of cool towers and tanks etc.. to build in this game. The graphics seem to work well with this style of game. I personally would have made it a bit more colorful, but that's just me.
The music in Comet Crash is relaxing and done pretty well, but just not hardcore enough to get me in the killin' mood. Thankfully it does have Custom Soundtrack support as demonstrated in this video using Rammstein: Heirate Mich.
The sound effects are done decently, with sounds of lasers, and bombers, and your ship blowing up, but nothing real fancy. I could have asked for more.
The controls are what you'd expect from a tower defense game. You control the ship and set down towers and grab meteors with R2 and drag them to get blown up so you can collect the money. Its simple and addictive.
I do have to complain that there is NO ONLINE mode on this game, which sucks. But the developers are looking into it, so perhaps a patch will come out soon to add online gameplay.
Bottom Line: The game is fun! Quite a bit of fun and only $9.99 on the PS Store! I would recommend this game to fans of tower defense games as I think you will enjoy it. Try out the demo, and if you like it go ahead and buy the game. I have had quite a bit of fun with the game, and it has some decent trophies as well.
Comet Crash is available only on the Sony PlayStation 3 Computer Entertainment System.
This game is in 720p native, has Dual Shock 3 Rumble, Trophy's, Custom Soundtracks support, and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound.
