Today's painting, 'Comfortable Denial,' is the fourth work from my new series, 'Universe of Human Emotions,' and tackles one of the humans' most common defence mechanisms.
Usually, when we say to someone,' you are in denial,' we do not think there is anything positive about it. Often, we are right. So, how can something that is usually frowned upon be comfortable and positive?
Easily. If I were to acknowledge every day that our planet is floating in a vast universe full of asteroids and that it is just a matter of time one will destroy it, I would live in constant fear. So, I choose to live in comfortable denial and go on with my life. Can you give me an example of a comfortable denial you live in that allows you to cast anxiety aside?
