Picking up directly after the events of The Dark Knight, The Joker Blogs follows the Joker as he begins therapy at Arkham Asylum with his doctor, Harleen Quinzell.
Locked within Arkham Asylum after the events of The Dark Knight, The Joker also known as #4479 undergoes a series of therapy sessions under the care of young Dr. Harleen Quinzel. The original purpose of the recorded sessions is for Dr. Quinzel's further study, but in the second episode of The Joker Blogs (TJB) "Arkham Bound", The Joker states a friend of his is going to put the videos up on YouTube, allowing the viewers of this series in a way "take part". Through the episodes something starts to grow between The Joker and Dr. Quinzel. To a certain extent the rolls switch between them, instead of Dr. Quinzel being the one who gives therapy to The Joker it slowly turns into Dr. Quinzel being the one receiving therapy from The Joker's twisted mind. Several episodes later, The Joker escapes to start wrecking havoc in Gotham City once more, starting with some of the personnel in Arkham Asylum and to crash the wedding of Harleen Quinzel and her fiancé Guy Kopski.
The first series takes place directly after The Dark Knight, with The Joker beginning therapy at Arkham Asylum. There are 19 episodes in total, and the series itself was split into two parts: Part one includes Therapy Begins, Arkham Bound, Meet Steve, A Dream Come True, Hypnotised, An Apple a Day, Artistic Merit, and BRB, whilst part two is made up of Two Cops, a Clown and a Police Department, Car Trouble, Let Sleeping Dogs Lyle, Dinner with the Arkhams, Road Trip, Killing Kopski, Get Me to the Church On Time, Three Minutes to Midnight, Shotgun Wedding, Staff Verification and Home Sweet Home.
