Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Hard - Soviets - Mission 7
The first portion of this level is easy and thankfully the AI doesn't do anything reckless. The Bear just follows you. Follow the path I take and you won't go wrong.
This is probably the first level I noticed the difficulty. Their King Onis are very annoying. You need to get a few Apocalypse Tanks and some ground defences quick to defend yourself. Their King Onis take one hell of a beating and their charge seems to do a lot of damage too. Yuriko isn't that big of a threat if you have Twinblades.
There's one problem that can arise on this level. Letting Naomi live too long. She'll wipe out your ally easily if you don't take her out quick. She'll spam Shogun Battlecruisers and Naginats and just overpower your ally.
When she arrives try to get 15-20 Twinblades to take out her Construction Yard, after it deploys mind you, otherwise she gets another. Take out the Docks Cores/Docks quickly too. You need her out of the way or the level will take longer.
I'm sure which of the other opponents uses Wave Force Artillery, I think the third opponent, but be aware of them as well. They can snipe your base (or more likely your allies'). If you don't want Twinblade and Support Power spam, go for a mixture of ground units to attack with Apocalypse Tanks backed up by Bullfrogs and V4s will do nicely. The V4s to deal with their long range defenses, and Bullfrogs for Rocket Angles and various other aerial units they have.
Once Naomi is taken out, head for the central base. Expand there aftwerwards to get more resources. The rest of the level will start getting easier now. Replenish losses and get working on a fleet of Akulas with a couple of Dreadnoughts to help you in the final part.
Take out the NW base, expand there again and then the map expands. Take out the Power Plants using a combination of a naval force and/or Twinblades. This will render the Emperor's base defenseless.
Rescue the bear and soldier that were captured and take out the Emperor's HQ with Twinblades. A ground assault is totally unnecessary. Then you have a souped up King Oni to deal with.
If you still have the Apocalypse Tanks they'll make quick work of him, especially if any of them got promoted during defending your base. You'll want at least 5 though, Twinblades will help too but he has AA capabilities.
