7The idea of creating a walkthrough for this game had been on our minds for quite some time—it was simply too irresistible not to do! My gaming journey began with the original Red Alert when I was just 8 or 9 years old, convincing my parents (who thought it was a fortune wasted on something silly) to indulge us. My brothers and I spent endless hours immersed in the game on our first Pentium 133 MHz with 8 MB RAM and a 750 MB hard drive; our old 386 just couldn't keep up. Ah, those were the days!
What I've always found fascinating is how deeply this game has left its mark on me—from the witty unit taunts and cutscene dialogues to Frank Klepacki's iconic scores. Playing on our Sound Blasters ensured that even my parents fondly remembered the game, especially the relentless ‘silos needed’ announcement—they even liked it!
