Dizzy III - Fantasy World Dizzy, developed by the Oliver Twins and published by Codemasters in 1990.
"Dizzy's Cartoon adventure in Fantasy World. Explore Dragon's Lairs, Wizard's Cloud Castle, the Evil King's Palace & Dungeons, Mysterious New Worlds, Volcanoes, Climb the magic Beanstalk and more. The incredible sequel to Treasure Island Dizzy!"
Quite an enjoyable game on the Spectrum, it feels kind of phoned in on the C64. A couple of bugs in the way the item drops work and the music is entirely taken from Fast Food! When you fall through the earth to Australia the upside down level isn't upside down but dizzy and your controls are reversed. This makes it even more confusing than when I played it on the Spectrum which flipped the level as well. I tried to make it a bit cleaner than my Spectrum run, but I had forgotten a couple of the coin locations, ah well. It is complete and is what it is.
I was not overly fond of Treasure Island dizzy as too many of its coins were fiendishly hidden, easy to die and rotating inventory could easily get you in trouble. Most of those issues were addressed for Fantasy World making it a nicer game to play. You get 2 lives and the only real way to die is to hit the flames or fall in the water where you don't need to be anyway.
