Hmmmm not 100% happy with this just yet, the crackle and pop is reduced and the treble is intact after 2 hours of messing about with manual tools to make the best of my mp3. However the lower frequencies have become a little boomy. Luckily I saved all the WAV files at each stage so can come back to this to improve it.

This was part of a Flexi-disc Commodore User gave away to promote the excellent Advanced Music System by Rainbird. It has quite advanced envelope controls for the SID chip in the Commodore 64 and there were 3 tunes created using this software with Heaven 17 and Tony Sellinger (spelt incorrectly?) from Rainbird. He also appeared on Micro Live to promote the package. Sadly none of his tunes have been saved as files to create a pure digital SID file today so these crackly recordings are all we have BUT I still think this upload sounds less 'flat' than the other upload of the Flexi-disc.....which is why I decided to do this video. If you like it I can do the whole thing but my MP3s of the Flexidisc are not great and the results will never be perfect. If I ever find a copy of the mag with the disc on the front I will do it properly...taking 10 seconds to clean the flexif-disc before recording it ;o)
