It is time to consult with Rudy of Rudy's Retro Intel! Another youtube channel that is constantly growing...It is time to document what is what, do some more checks and prepare for the inevitable de-soldering operations to come...soon, I hope...lastly, the keyboard must be checked over...to see if it is dirty...but also if it shows any signs of failure that could be related to the 6522 chips...

And the saga continues...so far, the chips that are socketed have been found to be suspect if not defective...but of course, the story continues as we continue to test more and more aspects of this Vic-20!

After the previous episode, we are moving along and making progress, but indeed, it is time to try out a game...because, as you may be aware, just because the computer comes up and appears to look ok, it is not necessarily in good working order...some failures are more...subtle...

This is indeed a strange Vic-20! I have never seen this exact failure before...and I even asked Rudy of Rudy's Retro Intel to consult his spreadsheet of issues, and this is not part of it, so, indeed, it is unique!
Time to open it up and see what is what, and perhaps what is not!
