We can only try a single battle out. So, cannot see the world strategy map to compare if improvements made there. For battles, I feel there has been some improvement, but being different armies it is hard to compare fully. It was fun and seemed to work as expected. They should have made it a single button click to deploy the flak cannon from the towing truck as I had trouble with it at the second waypoint. Population Cap was annoying if you can't reduce it by disbanding units for example, and may limit your tactical or strategic ability.
