Comparing 4 Artifact Builds On Ayato
To the visual learners
I'll leave my analysis in the comments and the description where ever you want to read.
Let’s start with some justifications:
Weapon: I wanted to focus on only the builds themselves and eliminate any bottlenecks so I used the primordial jade cutter which would help to only showcase the artifact 2pc and 4 pc bonuses.
Artifact Stats: I really tried to get the artifact stats as close as possible, but some did not end up that way and I think it became more intriguing as a result. My goal was to make an Ayato Dps build as strong as possible.
Talents: Lvl 6 Normal Attack, Lvl 8 Skill, and Lvl 6 burst, because I been playing Ayato for a couple days and I feel I use the skill the most compared to his basic normal attack.
Enemy: I chose the pyro regisvine because its pyro and tanky enough to get a clear idea on how much damage Ayato can do. While Ayato is by himself to establish a baseline on what he can do before joining a definite team comp.
Artifact Raw Performance:
2 pc Echoes and 2 pc Heart:
- Highest Crit was 7505
- This build had the highest crit dmg % and highest atk but did the lowest crit number.
- Something to add Ayato skill expires but does not kill the pyro regisvine.
4 pc Gladiator:
- Highest Crit was 7993
- This was the only build with elemental mastery i.e., 126
- Nothing else of note
4 pc Heart of Depth:
- Highest Crit was 8278
- This build did have the second highest crit dmg%
4 pc Echoes:
- Highest Crit was 9721
- Ayato was the fastest in killing the pyro regisvine in just about 20 seconds
Conclusion: I think all 4 of these builds are quite good, but there is a clear winner and that is Echoes which makes sense from the way they released the set along with Ayato. However, I think if someone has good if not better Heart of Depth pieces collecting dust, they should use those. Heart of depth is still a solid set and, in my opinion, can be argued that it is more consistent than Echoes of offering. It really comes down to what you’re grinding for, if you are building Xiao along with Ayato then by all means grind the new set it will do the most damage at least from my experience. If you want a good and consistent build Heart of depth can be quite good if built properly, and if you’re grinding for Ganyu or Ayaka it would be a great way to save time. Gladiator does have its merits also, because you probably have the most of these and can swap between them the most frequently. There are clearly parts in the video where I am not being optimal, but I think adding real world builds with real numbers instead of just calculations can be helpful to the visual learners like me.
