I wanted the title of this episode to be based on one of the minigames, Machine Meltdown, Surface Tension, or Charge. I ended up choosing Competitive Tension over Friendship Meltdown and Charged Battles.

This is a four player competitive Let's Play of the home console version of Spongebob: Lights, Camera Pants!, which will be uploading every Friday at 7:30PM EST. Spongebob: Lights Camera, Pants! is a four player party game that came out in 2005 for the Playstation 2, Gamecube, and Xbox. This game is a minigame collection similar to Mario Party featuring Spongebob characters engaging in "auditions" to win roles in a new episode of "The New Adventures of Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy". There are very few differences between the console versions, with the GCN and Xbox versions having a slightly smoother framerate than the PS2 version. In this walkthrough, we will be playing every minigame, viewing the movie at the end, and explaining how to unlock all the artwork and action figure rewards. There will also be a bonus episode at the end of the series featuring the PS2 version's crossave bonuses, which include an exclusive action figure gallery, a sound test, and an artwork slideshow.

In this episode, we compete in the game's fifth area, the Chum Bucket, for the role of the Captive, judged by Karen the Computer. The minigames include Machine Meltdown, Surface Tension, and Charge!.
