Complete in Box Plays - Lifeline: Voice Action Adventure (PS2) - Part 14 - FINALE
Here we are --- the final boss, which is actually pretty cool! Then Rio finally meets us --- oooh baby. Did you enjoy the sequel-baiting at the end? lol
What else can I say about Lifeline: Voice Action Adventure? It is, by far, the least fun I have ever had beating a video game, and I have beaten a LOT of very bad games on this channel. It's not that Lifeline is the most broken, the worst controls, the worst graphics, etc --- it has a really good shell of a game, that is just not fun at all.
A few of the positive notes: the graphics are amazing, the voice acting is solid for mid-2000s somewhat indie game, the idea of the game is very solid, the exploration is decent, and both the bosses are very good -- I think the final boss is actually a really cool idea.
What it really comes down to is it was a game that was made before the technology could really understand us correctly. Nowadays, your Alexa, or other government-spy-box (kidding! [...]) can understand absolutely everything you say, but this game was made too early for that.
At the end of the day -- if this was a game about 90% exploration and 10% fighting, I would give it much more slack. If you make a small mistake in exploration, it's no big deal. But when fighting is a majority of the game AND health doesn't refill AND health pick-ups are relatively hard-to-find... you have a disaster.
Overall, I cannot in any sense suggest you play this game. Just watch this Let's Play, and maybe a speedrun if you're up to it, but there is no reason to put yourself through the torture that is Lifeline: Voice Action Adventure. Regardless, thank you very much for watching!
