This is the end of Riki's quest, which includes finishing Ring Lord's Palace, fighting Ring Lord himself (herself?), and then fighting the final boss - WITH A TWIST!!!

The Ring Lord fight is so specific and so difficult that I actually never beat it before practicing for this run, and we're not talking about just trying as a child --- I tried as an adult too. Frankly, combos in this game, while cool and exciting, are broken. So having a boss that requires at least a few level 4 combos is BRUTAL. I definitely feel like I cheesed the battle, but the battle has cheesed me for 20 years.

Then, we get a TWIST ending, and one of the hardest final bosses in the game.

Overall, Riki's quest is one of the 1 or 2 most unique of all 7 quests. Going and getting the rings on all the mini-quests is great, and the rings (while mostly whatever) are fun to have as a unique item in this game.

Unfortunately being forced to use Riki, a monster, for the entire quest is pretty lame, AND forcing a battle where combos are a necessity in the ONE quest where you have to utilize a useless character is... frustrating. Overall, Riki's quest is, much like the rest of Saga Frontier, fun, solid, but flawed. Thanks for watching - we'll start a new Saga quest soon!
