COMPLETED NES GAME FOR MY COLLECTION | KABUKI QUANTUM FIGHTER
66While I am not a completionist, there are certain games that, if I had the option, I'd rather purchase CIB, or complete in-box with the manual and box. Sometimes Loose cartridges are ok, but other times I really want it complete. In 202, I attended SEGE, or the Southeast Game Exchange. One of the games I was on the hunt for was Kabuki Quantum Fighter for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). I Did manage to score a copy, boxed, but it had a reproduction manual. I was able to talk the seller down $30 because of this, but it has always irked me that this wasn't completely complete. Until now!

The most exciting part of the weekend for me, aside from meeting all the amazing people at the event, was being able to find a copy of Kabuki Quantum Fighter for the NES. I had been walking the floor of the show and asked a booth if they had it, and unfortunately they did not. Thankfully, someone attending the event spoke up and mentioned that they had seen one for sale in box at a booth. He walked me over there, and sure enough there it was. This is an exciting find for me, in one of those times when I was able to fill in details to my collection, versus having to look for quantities of games. I can't wait to get this home to play it, having opened up the cartridge the game itself looks amazing.
Life has been busy since I bought this game, we've bought and sold a house, went on vacations, just life happening. And like I say, I am not someone who needs complete in-box games to play, I really wanted to replace the copied manual with a legt one. Then, one night, I decided to start looking on eBay. There weren't many there, in fact most of the listing were for CIB offerings, but then I found it. A copy of the manual for $15. BUT WAIT! It had an option for a best offer, so I sent an offer for $10 and WON! SCORE
It took just a few days for the manual to arrive and, it's in OK but not great shape. But it is legit the real deal, which I appreciate. Best of all, I had some funds sitting in my PayPal account from someone, so in the end this didn't cost me anything! Will I upgrade this down the road? Maybe, I'll for sure be on the lookout!
I love that this copy of Kabuki Quantum Fighter is now 100% complete! Is it the most valuable game? Well no, and prices have been steadily coming down. But it's still an amazing title that I am glad is in my collection.
