Reason is, simply connecting Composite to capture card usually create framerate issues of capturing audio sync with video. So composite to HDMI converter is only way to get correct sync.

But this is a tutorial on how to apply it the best way, whether its to remove the green scanlines at the bottom when recording. Or getting no input controller lag when playing. You can probably also get a USB power adapter to connect it to a power socket aswell. But hope this tutorial helps!
